Included are notes on Frantz Brossman (b. ca. 1693) who arrived in Pennsylvania in 1739 and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and notes concerning other Brossmans of Berks County, Pennsylvania. Most data was compiled from Berks County Church records.

Schuyler Brossman (1927-1998) wrote a regular column on genealogy titled "Our Keystone Families" for two Pennsylvania newspapers, the Lebanon Daily News (1966-) and Middletown Press and Journal (1973?-1998). He began the column while working on the 200th anniversary of Altalaha Lutheran Church. The column continued for a short time after Brossman's death and was discontinued in January 2000.
